Important!
Read all instructions before you begin installation.
1.
Remove the
intake trim cover (cover with the “SOHC 16V”) from the intake manifold.
2.
Disconnect
the air bellows and air cleaner lid assembly and remove them from the
throttle body. Also, the crankcase hose is best removed from the valve cover
for better access of hardware to come in later steps. (A illustration)
3.
Remove
the throttle cables and throttle cable bracket from throttle body. Two
10mm-sized bolts secure the bracket. (B illustration)
4.
Remove
the 13mm-sized bolt and grommet washer from the intake/throttle body support
bracket. (C illustration)
5.
Remove
the three 8mm-sized bolts from the throttle body and lay the throttle body to
the side.
6.
Place
throttle body on opposite side of intake/throttle support bracket and install
the intake/throttle body support bracket bolt and grommet washer into the
throttle body on opposite side. Tighten the bolt snug. (D illustration)
7.
Install
the Helix Power Tower by sliding the plate in between the intake and throttle
body. Next slide the gasket in between the Helix Power Tower and throttle
body. Use the longer bolts provided to secure the throttle body to the
intake. Torque throttle body bolts to 12 ft/lb. Torque the intake/throttle
support bracket bolt 20 ft/lb.(E illustration).
8.
Reattach
the throttle cables and throttle cable bracket to the throttle body.
9.
Reconnect
the air bellows and air cleaner lid assembly from the throttle body. Make
sure all the clamps and bolts are properly attached and torqued.
10. Install
