Installation Instructions

(1985-1992 Camaro/Firebird 5.0/5.7L V-8 TPI

1985-1991 Corvette 5.7L V-8 TPI (L98) Part #57020)

Important! Read all instructions before you begin installation.

1.      Remove the air cleaner and mass air sensor duct from the throttle bore assembly.

2.      Remove the throttle and transmission cable bracket from side of plenum.

3.      Remove the four bolts retaining the throttle bore assembly to the plenum.

4.      Install the Helix Power Tower and both gaskets between the bore assembly and plenum. Use the longer bolts provided. Torque the bolts to 10 ft/lbs.

5.      Install the ¾” spacer on the air diverter valve. (Note: this may be necessary to provide clearance between the TPS and air diverter valve.)

6.      Install the cable bracket relocator to the side of the plenum with the included new bolts.

7.      Install the throttle and transmission cable bracket to side of plenum to the new bracket.

8.      Reinstall the air cleaner and mass air sensor duct to the throttle bore assembly.

Note: you may notice an occasional high-pitched whistle while driving. This is normal.
