Installation Instructions

(1996-2001 F-150/250, Expedition/Navigator 5.4L V-8 Part #54005)

Important! Read all instructions before you begin installation.

1.      Remove the plastic throttle body cover assembly.

2.      Remove the throttle cables from the throttle body levers.

3.      Remove the throttle body bracket from the intake manifold.

4.      Install the cable bracket extender bracket onto the intake using the stock manifold bolts. (Super-Duty trucks will use the two one inch extenders instead of the single bracket.)

5.      Reinstall the throttle cable bracket to the extender bracket using the two 6mm x 12mm bolts that attach to the threaded holes.

6.      Remove the four bolts from the throttle body to the plenum, along with the old gasket.

7.      Reinstall the throttle body with the Helix Power Tower and the new gaskets and secure it with the new longer bolts provided with the kit.

8.      Reinstall the throttle cables to the throttle body assembly and reinstall the plastic cover assembly.

Note: you may notice an occasional high-pitched whistle while driving. This is normal.
