Installation Instructions

(QuadraJet 450cfm 4-BBL Carburetor Part # 00450)

Important! Read all instructions before you begin installation.

1.      Remove air cleaner assembly.

2.      Disconnect the fuel line, choke assembly (from manifold, if equipped), and vacuum lines from carburetor. Please observe safety when releasing fuel from lines as it could harm your vehicle and/or yourself.

3.      Remove the four carburetor bolts that secure the carburetor to the intake manifold. Remove the gasket in between the carburetor and manifold.

4.      Install a gasket, the Helix Power Tower spacer and another gasket in between the carburetor and intake manifold. Line up the mounting holes and drop the longer bolts, supplied with kit, in their respective mounting positions. Torque these bolts to 15 ft/lb.

5.      Longer vacuum lines, fuel lines and choke attachment will be necessary as the Helix Power Tower spaces the carburetor one-inch from stock location.

6.      Once the spacer is completely installed, start engine and observe for fuel and/or vacuum leaks.

Note: you may notice an occasional high-pitched whistle while driving. This is normal.
