Installation Instructions

(1996-2001 GM S-10/15 Pick-Up/Blazer/Jimmy 4.3L V-6 VORTEC

1996-2001 GM C/K 1500-2500 Pick-Up 4.3L V-6 VORTEC Part #43015)

Important! Read all instructions before you begin installation.

1.      Remove air duct assembly and move it back towards the firewall to access the 3 bolts attaching the throttle body to the intake manifold.

2.      Remove the throttle cables & bracket from the throttle body and intake manifold.

3.      Remove the 3 bolts securing the throttle body to the intake manifold. Save the back bolt with the air duct mounting extension for assembly in a later step.

4.      Lift the throttle body off the intake manifold.

5.      Install the stud (provided with kit) in the rear bolt hole in the intake manifold.

6.      Install the HELIX POWER TOWER with the O-ring side up.

7.      Reinstall the throttle body and secure with the bolts included in the kit for the front 2 holes and the nut and washer on the rear stud. Torque to 6.25 ft/lbs.

IMPORTANT!! DO NOT OVER TORQUE!

8.      Reinstall the air duct hold clown adapter (saved from step 4) on the rear stud.

9.      Route the throttle and cruise controls cables over the air conditioner line and reinstall them on the throttle body.

10. Reinstall the cable bracket to the throttle body with the original bolt into the intake manifold with the 1.25" tall spacer and bolt provided.

11. Reinstall the air duct assembly to the throttle body and secure with the original wing nut.

Note: you may notice an occasional high-pitched whistle while driving. This is normal.
