Helix Power Tower

Installation Instructions

(1997-2001 Ford F-150 Pick-Up 4.2L V-6 Part #42005)

Important! Read all instructions before you begin installation.

1.      Remove the plastic throttle body cover assembly.

2.      Remove the throttle cables from the throttle body levers.

3.      Remove the throttle body bracket from the intake manifold.

4.      Install the cable bracket extender bracket (see illustration) onto the intake using the original manifold bolts.

5.      Reinstall the throttle cable bracket to the extender bracket using the two 6mm x 12mm bolts that attach to the threaded holes.

6.      Remove the four (4) 6mm bolts that secure the throttle body to the plenum, along with the old gasket.

7.      Reinstall the throttle body with the Helix Power Tower and the new gaskets and secure it with the new longer bolts provided with the kit.

8.      Reinstall the throttle cables to the throttle body assembly and reinstall the plastic cover assembly. (This may need to be modified slightly to fit correctly.)

Note: you may notice an occasional high-pitched whistle while driving. This is normal.
